How can we best prepare our children for the future?

Teach them the importance of listening to their intuition; the voice from our soul or conscience that can guide us through life and bring congruence to our thoughts, words and actions on all levels and in all areas of our life.

My research has shown me that children learn most through osmosis, so we, it is up to us as adults to take the challenge in every moment of following the one inner voice of the conscience, that wants only our evolution and not those multiple voices that want to bring our focus into so many ego thoughts and desires. Our children will learn from our example more than from what we tell them.

What's been your path in life?

We may choose some elements of our path, but who is the real guide? The outer or 'self-chosen' elements of my path have been all of life's experiences, but more specifically I began exploring the breath as a tool for unfolding to the inner path in 1985. For many years, I did many personal development workshops which helped develop my profession as a psychotherapist. I began practicing Kriya Yoga (www.kriya.org) in 1988 and these two techniques have been the only constant in a life of constant change. I have also been receiving guidance from an extraordinary person, here in France, Hervé Bartos since 1999 (whose books are forthcoming in English). His western, macrocosmic, masculine (active) approach to evolution complements nicely my Eastern, microcosmic, feminine (passive) path. These elements of the outer path have gradually led me to discover that the real guide is the indwelling soul, our part of the Divine, who, when we listen to it and follow it, provides all of the lessons and insights we need for our evolution in consciousness.

What does a balanced life mean to you?

A good friend once explained to me that life is like a flower with several petals, material, affective, mental and spiritual. A balanced life is one in which we strive to live in each level or petal without attachment or excess in any one, but with moderation and detachment. For me, a balanced life also implies gently and harmoniously following the path to the Soul and not living in mere outer or ego based reality. In other words, in order to be balanced, I think it is essential to find and follow our own unique path of evolution with sincerity, responsibility, joy and humour!
What gives my life balance is all of this and the close guidance of my Guru and guide who keeps me in line and gives me gentle and loving reminders when I go astray.

Integral Consulting

The powerful process of unfolding continues as life experiences demonstrate to me how everything we experience occurs on all levels of our being - body, mind, soul and spirit.

I have been involved in personal development for nearly 25 years, have been accompanying clients in their personal growth for just over 20 years. Until recently, I have always been pretty low key. Over the last year I have found myself with several big speaking engagements, a consulting contract for a Fortune 100 corporation and my continued work teaching and working with psychotherapy clients. I believe in utmost integrity and do my best to have all my thoughts and actions aligned with my Conscience and the highest good for all. (see my goals)

My debut as a consultant was a real adventure: It started with a dinner with the team who asked me to present my ideas. I felt as if I was giving a personalised mini-seminar that went until midnight. When the team invited me to submit my project description, I did not hesitate. My answer was: "If you are looking for someone to study consumer behaviour so that you can increase your market share, I'm not the person you're looking for." It felt good to be so anchored in my ideals that I did not bend or hesitate when faced with the opportunity to 'go big'. My client answered, "That's exactly why we're approaching you." The project was a wonderful opportunity to explore ways to wake up and nourish people's deepest inner desire for meaning, congruence and unfolding to their deepest and highest potential in all areas and levels of their lives. I discovered that the consumer market and related media are an excellent and effective medium for communicating messages that can contribute to humanity.

A dear friend of mine is a champion for coming up with corny statements and always says, "Go big or stay home". Turns out, the message is not so corny after all and it's so wonderful to see that in this seemingly topsy turvy world there are people and corporations who are seeking positive, responsible change on a big scale!

I'd love to meet other Zaadsters to share stories, ideas and ideals for spreading positive messages in the mainstream on a large scale either through consulting or any other means!
